Changelog

What changed in Auk Video, version by version.

1.16.0

Added

  • Transitions on the timeline: every cut in your clip shows a marker where you add, change or remove a transition, and transition cards drag onto the timeline.
  • Motion cards drag onto the timeline too.
  • A public changelog page lists what changed in every version of Auk.

Changed

  • Filter cards show your own clip, with five new looks: Warm, Pop, Moody, Black and white and Film. Looks you already used still play.
  • Trim is now Trim & extend, and a hook copied to the start of a clip shows as the first line of the transcript and in the Trim & extend dialog.
  • Cleaner icons in the editor's side rail, and panels no longer shift sideways when they scroll.
  • When we ask you to accept updated Terms, the dialog is just the consent sentence, in the language you accepted them in before.

Security

  • Updated a library with a known security advisory.

1.15.1

Fixed

  • Links we share (auk.video/r/...) now record which post brought you, not only the site, as the Privacy Policy describes.

1.15.0

Added

  • Highlight in the editor: give any caption word the style's highlight colour, from a word menu that opens where you click.

Changed

  • While Google reviews Auk, clips are made from an uploaded video only: making clips from a YouTube link and the Help Center are paused, and the Terms and Privacy Policy say so.
  • The Clips page opens on your newest clips; Highest score is still in the sort menu.
  • Auto captions follow the layout: low on a single speaker, on the seam of a split, under the picture in landscape.
  • Silence removal judges quiet against each clip's own background level and ignores short noises inside a pause.
  • The cookie banner asks again: with your consent we also remember which link brought you to Auk and add it to your account if you sign up.
  • The editor loads faster and does less work while playing.

1.14.0

Changed

  • Your templates now follow later improvements to the caption and title styles they are built on, and keep the changes you made to them.

Fixed

  • Make Clips with the Default template uses the Default's own captions, instead of always Karaoke Fill.

1.13.1

Fixed

  • Making clips from a part of a video (a section) no longer fails while downloading it.

1.13.0

Changed

  • A clip that opens on a group shot starts on whoever is speaking, framed alone.
  • Automatic zooms go in quickly, hold, and come back out only at a cut, instead of bouncing in and out mid-shot.
  • Make Clips no longer offers an editing level, and every run is made without an AI edit, while AI editing is reworked.
  • Where you connect YouTube, the page links YouTube's Terms of Service.

Fixed

  • In the editor preview, a B-roll no longer freezes the picture, the captions and the playhead when it starts or ends on a cut.
  • New clips' titles shrink to fit on two lines again, and their key words keep the caption highlight colours.
  • In Portuguese, the editor's side labels no longer break inside a word; Settings there is now "Ajustes".

Security

  • Updated three libraries with known security advisories.

1.12.0

Added

  • Contact us in Settings: your message reaches us at once, and you get a reference and the date we will answer by, also kept in the bell.
  • New in the editor: 24 animated emoji, a Sound effects tab, Glitch, Zoom shake, Freeze frame with a record scratch, a progress bar, Link in bio, a series label, Correct and Wrong marks, Count up and Count down, and Cross fade and Cross zoom between two pieces.
  • Three caption presets: Bold Keyword, Comic Stroke and Word Tiles.
  • New clips come with their key words highlighted in the captions and a hook title written for them.
  • Captions and titles in Arabic read right to left.

Changed

  • Captions and the default title stay clear of the TikTok, Reels and Shorts buttons, with captions one third up the picture, and a long title shrinks to fit on two lines.
  • The editor's Motion panel is now Video effects, with a Motion tab and a Transitions tab; a transition is a diamond on the cut between two pieces.
  • The Terms of Service and Refund Policy dated 2026-10-24 add the rights of users in Brazil, so the app asks you to accept them once more at your next sign-in.
  • When you accept analytics on the cookie banner, Auk also measures how the app is used, with PostHog and without cookies.
  • With no projects yet, the projects page shows only the field to paste a link.
  • Admin is one console: Overview, Waiting on us, Users, Projects, Showcases, Reports and 12 Settings pages in words instead of keys. A settings save needs a note, says when someone else saved first, and is kept in an Activity log; restoring an old version makes a new one. A showcase opened by a link scanner or preview bot no longer counts as opened.

Fixed

  • Removing words next to each other makes one clean cut, with no frame of the removed speech left between them, and a cut no longer flashes two frames of another shot.
  • An upload we cannot read now says why in plain words, offers to upload another file and gives your credits back, instead of retrying.
  • Removing Auk from your Instagram account now disconnects it in Auk too, so we stop holding your account details.

1.11.2

Changed

  • The legal pages, footer and emails name Hoglet Labs Inc., the company behind Auk Video, and the app and Help Center call the product Auk Video.
  • The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are updated to name Hoglet Labs Inc., so the app asks you to accept them once more.

1.11.1

Changed

  • A new account goes straight into the app with its free credits, instead of stopping at the pricing page first.

1.11.0

Added

  • Your profile shows a 9-digit account ID you can copy and quote to support.
  • Go to start and Go to end buttons are back in the editor's playback bar.

Changed

  • The editor opens at once with the clip's picture and you can edit while the video loads; only Play waits, with a small spinner.
  • On a phone, the clip player gives the video most of the screen, puts the actions on one row and keeps the transcript closed at the bottom.

Fixed

  • The editor no longer sits on "Loading video" for 15 seconds before you can play.
  • In the editor preview on browsers without WebCodecs, the sound stays on the captions after a removed word or silence instead of drifting a fraction of a second off.

1.10.2

Changed

  • Auk opens in dark mode on every page until you pick a theme; your pick is kept, and the browser's bar matches it.
  • B-roll you add from your uploads starts muted, so it no longer plays over the speech.
  • Our business address now appears on the Terms, Privacy and Refunds pages, in English and French.

Fixed

  • In the editor preview, captions and sound stay together after every cut, seek, removed word, speed change and style edit, and playback no longer pauses at a cut.
  • A call to action no longer covers the captions: it moves just above them.
  • A clip you speed up or slow down keeps its voice at the right pitch, in the editor and in the download, instead of sounding higher or lower.
  • When a person walking on camera turns their back, the frame stays on them instead of jumping to the edge of the picture, and the same person reappearing no longer counts as a new speaker.

1.10.1

Fixed

  • Clips from a call recorded in gallery view (each person in their own tile on a dark background) or a video with black bars keep each person inside their own picture: side-by-side panels no longer overlap or show the other tile or the dark background, and a single-person shot is cropped within that person's tile. New clips get this on their own.

1.10.0

Changed

  • When making clips fails because of a problem on our side, the project no longer asks you to do anything: it waits while we fix it, runs again on its own, and emails you when the clips are ready. If it still fails after a day, your credits come back in full and we email you to say so.
  • A failed project now says only why, in plain and friendly words, with the one way forward that can work; "Something went wrong" is gone.
  • While clips are being made, "No need to wait here" now sits under the progress card, with the promise to email you when they're ready.

Fixed

  • The project page and the projects list keep updating on their own, also on a phone after the screen locks or you switch apps; a project started on another device appears when you come back to the list.
  • Opening Reframe, Trim or any other editing window in the editor pauses the clip behind it.
  • Error messages from our servers are always our own plain sentences, including when your connection drops ("Could not reach Auk") instead of the browser's "Load failed".

1.9.4

Changed

  • Make clips starts as soon as YouTube confirms the video, without a slower check first. A video only available below the minimum quality now stops as soon as its download checks the quality, and its credits come back in full, instead of being refused in the dialog.

Fixed

  • When YouTube refuses a download, Auk now tries many more ways on its own (fresh links, every other format, a short pause, another full attempt) before giving up; only if every try fails does the project offer Try again, with the upload beside it.
  • Errors while making clips and publishing are explained in plain words: no technical message from our servers, tools or the publishing platforms appears in the Make clips dialog, on a project page, on a clip, in your publishing history and calendar, or in notifications any more.

1.9.3

Fixed

  • A YouTube video only available below the minimum quality is refused before any credits are taken again, when you click Make clips; the dialog then explains why instead of offering the button again.

1.9.2

Changed

  • Pasting a YouTube link shows the video's details faster: they come straight from YouTube instead of a check that opened the video, which still runs when YouTube cannot answer.
  • In the Make Clips dialog, the rights line now sits on its own line under the buttons and reads "By making clips, you confirm you have the rights and agree to the Terms.".

Fixed

  • Pasting a YouTube link no longer fails with "Couldn't read that link" when YouTube refuses the first try: the link check tries again, the way the download does.

1.9.1

Fixed

  • The "your clips are ready" email no longer shows a broken character when a long video title is cut at an emoji or a flag.
  • On iPhone, the link field no longer offers your saved usernames, and no longer capitalises or corrects the link you type.

1.9.0

Added

  • Two new title styles, Line Box (a white box behind each line) and White Box (one white card). New titles start as Line Box: the Default template's title, Add text in the editor and new templates.
  • The Make Clips dialog says, beside the button, that you confirm you have rights to the video, with a link to the Terms.

Changed

  • Captions are placed by the layout (Auto) in the Default template and in new templates: on the seam of a split, between bands, clear of a facecam. Auto is the first Position choice in the editor and on the Templates page.
  • A change to the Terms or Privacy Policy shows a notice you can dismiss; when a change needs your agreement, you are asked when you open Auk after signing in on or after the day it takes effect, not as soon as it is announced.
  • The "your clips are ready" email names the clips and the video, opens the project directly, has the new Auk look, and you can reply to it with a question.

Fixed

  • Pasting a YouTube link no longer shows an error after 15 seconds while the link is checked: the check now waits up to 60 seconds and its server starts warming up as soon as the link field shows.
  • A YouTube channel, playlist or search link is refused straight away with a sentence saying what it is, instead of failing later.
  • A video that the link check finds is only available below the minimum resolution is refused before any credits are charged.
  • A video with no sound fails once with a clear message, instead of being retried.

1.8.3

Changed

  • Updated Privacy Policy, in English and French: the AI providers that read your transcript and video stills never train on them, and some keep a request for a period set by their own terms, for example to detect abuse. You are asked to accept it again on your next visit.

Fixed

  • Merge with next in the editor keeps the earlier segment's framing across both segments, as Merge with previous already did.

1.8.2

Changed

  • Stock photos and videos from Pexels, and files you upload, are named in the editor by what they show or their file name, never by a number.

1.8.1

Changed

  • Updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, in English and French: you are asked to accept them again on your next visit. The Privacy Policy now says how long each kind of data is kept.
  • Paddle receipts and billing emails come in the language you accepted the Terms in.

Fixed

  • Long videos no longer lose a few seconds of transcript every five minutes: audio is split for transcription in a pause, not mid-word.

Security

  • Transcripts and video stills go only to AI providers that keep no copy and train on nothing.
  • Deleting a project also deletes the AI requests that held its transcript.
  • Old sign-in sessions, showcase visits and staff records are deleted once past their retention limit, and stored payment notifications no longer keep the cardholder's name.
  • Content removed for breaking the Terms is deleted after 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Fonts load from auk.video itself, so no page sends your address to a font service.

1.8.0

Added

  • Download straight from the editor: the top bar reads Publish, Download, Close, and the file saves even if you keep editing, leave or reload. On a phone, Download is in the clip menu.
  • Each clip starts rendering as soon as it is made, so its file is usually ready by the time you download it.
  • Clip lists show each clip's score, coloured from red to green, and its length on the thumbnail, and list the highest score first; the Clips library sorts by score too.

Changed

  • Buttons and their labels no longer change size when they show a busy state such as Closing.
  • A quieter project header: under the title, only the link to the original video.
  • Buttons have a white label on a deeper blue, in both themes.
  • The Auk bird is black in the light theme and white in the dark, in the app, on every public page and in the browser tab.
  • A shared auk.video link shows a new preview card.

Fixed

  • Hovering a button no longer shows its label twice.

Security

  • A clip or project removed by an admin can no longer be opened, exported or published, and anything already queued for it stops.
  • Retrying a refunded run charges its credits again, and a refused submit holds no credits.
  • Connecting a publishing account can only finish for the signed-in user who started it.
  • Very large projects are refused when saved or exported.

1.7.2

Changed

  • Your credits sit in the sidebar on every page, with a quick way to get more; the long balance line under the Home composer is gone.
  • Upgrade links inside the app and the editor open the plans in a window over your work instead of leaving the page.
  • The watermark notice runs the full width of the window.

Fixed

  • The home page on a phone: the found clips sit still with their links to the video above, the header no longer shows the page through it, and the footer columns sit side by side.
  • Pressing Get clips with no link asks you to paste one, without calling it invalid or moving the page.

1.7.1

Fixed

  • The home page on a phone: the top demo shows its three clips whole, the posting calendar shows the whole month with every clip, the spacing and cards are tighter, and the light round each card runs once as it comes into view.

1.7.0

Added

  • Templates can open and close every clip with a scene from your Scene library: pick an intro and an outro on the template, and every clip Make Clips makes with it starts and ends with them. A clip's card shows where its video starts, not the intro. Editing or deleting a scene changes the next run, never clips already made.
  • The Help Center is public at auk.video/help, up to date with what ships, with five new articles and new screenshots and videos.

Changed

  • A new look for the home page, the public pages and the app: a new landing, a rounded panel sidebar with pill navigation, and one blue for buttons in both themes.

Fixed

  • Glass panels have their background blur again.
  • In a narrow window, the editor's stage bar shortens its buttons instead of running over the side panel.

1.6.0

Added

  • A Download you ask for now shows on its clip's tile, as "Preparing" with a progress bar, until the file saves, even after you close the player, reload or switch tabs. The file saves itself when it is ready.

Changed

  • Downloading a clip right after closing the editor is faster: a slow export started when you closed it now restarts in the faster mode instead of making you wait.
  • Buttons are rounded pills again across the site and the app, and the editor follows your light or dark theme again.
  • An item's On screen animation now always plays for the item's whole time on screen; it can no longer be trimmed to part of it on the timeline.

Fixed

  • A text's On screen animation is kept when its scene is added to a clip, and when the item is duplicated or pasted.

1.5.0

Added

  • Scenes: design a short branded scene once (your logo, a colour or picture background, a line of text, a call to action, a sound) and add it to any clip from the editor's Scenes panel, as an intro before the video, an outro after it, or over it at the playhead. A clip keeps its own copy, so editing or deleting a scene later never changes a clip it was added to. An export can now run up to 125 seconds, room for a full-length clip with a 10 second intro and outro.
  • Elements: the Stickers panel is now Elements, with tabs for calls to action, stickers and shapes. Calls to action and pointers come in new styles and variants, including Subscribe, Follow, Like, Comment, a double-tap heart, a channel card and a bell, and an animation now carries its own sound, a click, pop or whoosh, that moves, trims and exports with it and can be switched off.

Changed

  • In Reframe, a picture-in-picture box has its delete button on its own row, always in view, and the dialog is taller so its controls fit.

Fixed

  • Remove fillers cuts exactly where the filler sits in the audio, so the sound and the captions stay in sync after the cut.
  • A stutter or false start such as "how- how" is shown as separate caption words instead of one glued word, and Remove fillers can take it out.
  • Deleting a word in the transcript removes it from the captions too, not only from the audio.
  • Remove fillers no longer finds nothing to suggest on some longer videos.

1.4.0

Added

  • Publishing, redesigned. Publish from the editor or a clip opens one composer: pick every channel to post to, write a shared title, description and tags (or one per channel), pick the cover frame, then post now or schedule it in any time zone. A channel that was signed out reconnects from the same list. The Publishing page shows a month calendar with an agenda of the coming days, a week laid out by the hour, or a list. Drag a scheduled post to another day or hour to move it, right-click a post or a day for its actions, and posts that failed are listed first under Needs attention.
  • Clip titles are written in the language the video is spoken in.
  • On the timeline, a piece of the main video can be used as a hook or an outro: right-click it and pick Use as hook or Use as outro, to copy or move it to the start or the end.

Changed

  • Exports render about twice as fast in our tests, and faster still on 4K and Fit clips: a 4K clip with many cuts took under a third of the time. Long clips render in parts at the same time and are joined at the end, which in our tests cut a one-minute export to under half its time. Exported pictures look the same.
  • Clips get ready to post on their own: closing the editor or opening the composer prepares the video in the background, so Download and posting usually start at once. Export progress no longer shows on clips you did not ask for, and an edit made while a clip is being prepared restarts it on the new version instead of waiting for the old one to finish.
  • The watermark on a clip in the editor opens the plans in a dialog over your edit instead of a new tab, and its bird now flies in smoothly from either side.
  • When the editor cannot publish or close yet, it says why beside the buttons instead of in a tooltip.
  • Dragging a piece of the main video along the timeline now reorders it: the other pieces open a slot as you drag, nothing is split, and anything sitting on the moved piece goes with it.
  • Templates use the same tabs as the editor, and a template's title shows the In animation its Motion Style gives every clip.
  • Reframe can now reach every pixel of the original frame, and a Fit box reframed on a 4K video exports sharp.

Fixed

  • An interview with two people in one room, or a face in a picture on the wall, is no longer framed as a facecam.
  • In an interview, something in the room behind the speakers, such as a bust on a shelf, is no longer framed as a facecam band: that layout is kept for a camera over a screen, slides or a game.
  • A still talking head is no longer shown as a round camera in a corner of the picture.
  • A post scheduled on a clip you edited after booking it now renders the new version and goes out, instead of failing.
  • On the pricing page, a signed-in user's paid plan now says Choose Starter or Choose Pro, not Start free with a "no card needed" note above a checkout.
  • Transcripts join words Whisper splits, such as "real-time" instead of "real -time".
  • A drag on the timeline or the canvas no longer sticks after a screenshot or a switch to another window, a motion dropped on a cut lands on it, and "Merge with previous" only shows when the pieces are really next to each other.

1.3.0

Added

  • The whole editor now works on a phone. Below 720px wide the timeline sits under the player: swipe to scrub, pinch to zoom, long-press a clip to move it, and drag its edges to trim. Every panel opens from a tool strip, a selected item shows its actions in a bar, and a long-press opens the same menu a right-click does. Layout, Reframe and Trim open full screen with grips sized for a finger, and two fingers scale and turn the selected text, caption, sticker, picture, video or inset.
  • Clips from videos that are not a talking head are framed for vertical on their own, with nothing to set:
    • a phone game recorded in a landscape video is cropped to the game;
    • a screen recording with a camera puts the camera in a band on top and the screen below it; a round or small camera floats instead in a corner of the full-screen picture, over the least text and clear of the buttons TikTok, Reels and Shorts draw;
    • the screen part keeps to the screen's own panels and text margins, and moves to where the picture changes;
    • a game with no camera stays on its centre, and a talk shows the speaker above the whole slide;
    • the top band never cuts a face: it widens to show every face it touches whole, such as two guests side by side at a podcast table;
    • a streamer's camera inside a drawn frame is recognised and stays in the top band in every shot that shows the streamer, framed on the camera itself rather than the chat under it, instead of the crop following the streamer's face and cutting the game in half.
  • On a talking head with burned-in text, such as a lower third or subtitles, the frame now stops above the text when it can do so without cutting the face or zooming in more than a little.
  • Captions have a new Auto position, in the editor and on Templates: it places them by the layout under them, on the seam of a split, between bands, and clear of a picture-in-picture.
  • An image or video placed past the end of the main video now makes the clip longer, so you can end on an outro or call-to-action card: put the playhead at the end, add an image and a text over it.
  • In Reframe, a Whole frame box can fill the bands around its picture with the blurred mirror, as before, or with the project's background colour, which keeps a clear edge around a light, flat screen share.

Changed

  • A long video now gives every clip good enough to keep, instead of stopping at a fixed number (8 for anything under 32 minutes) and dropping the rest, some scored a single point below the last one kept. A maximum you set yourself still applies.

Fixed

  • New clips no longer open or end on a frame or two of a different camera shot: an edge that lands just before or after a cut now goes on the cut. Reframe no longer crashes on a clip whose first or last layout segment is a single frame.
  • Dragging an object on the canvas now leaves it exactly where you let go; a fast release could leave it a few pixels short.
  • Picture animations in an exported video play smoothly, frame by frame, the same on every export.
  • An exported video no longer fails on a picture, text or sticker saved without its style settings.
  • The caption Active colour swatch shows the colour the active word really gets when none is set.
  • In Reframe, a touch drag the browser cancels puts the box back instead of leaving it following your next touch, and between 720 and 900px wide the dialog fits the window.

1.2.1

Fixed

  • The website now updates with each release. Releases since 1.1.0 published the web app to a preview address instead of www.auk.video, so the web changes in 1.1.0 and 1.2.0 (showcase pages, the editor timeline, Reframe, Trim and template previews among them) were not live until this version.

1.2.0

Added

  • Showcase pages for prospects: a password-protected page at /showcase/<name> with the clips we made from their videos, grouped by video, and a button under each clip to send feedback. Admins build them under Admin, Showcases, upload the clips, and see who opened the page, from where, and which clips they watched; every admin gets an email on the first open.
  • Trim shows the transcript beside the picture, lit for what the clip says and struck through for what a handle takes out, and Play (or Space) plays the selection with sound, skipping what the clip leaves out.
  • Two people sitting shoulder to shoulder now share one panel instead of getting one each: a Three with a close pair becomes a Split, and a Four of two close pairs becomes a Split of the pairs.

Changed

  • The editor timeline is laid out by kind, top to bottom: Text, Motion, B-roll, the main video with its layouts, then Audio. A clip-wide motion now moves the main video and its B-roll together, B-roll can fill the frame, and Reframe is simpler.
  • Template previews and cards show the clip the template actually makes, drawn by the same renderer as the export, including its Motion Style; on the free plan they carry the watermark, as the export does.
  • The editor responds faster: the quick toolbar no longer redraws while idle, camera pans in the preview move without re-laying out the page, and editing one item no longer redraws the others.
  • In Reframe, a side grip on a box free to take any shape moves only that side and switches to Custom, and the box shape menu no longer repeats the source's own ratio.
  • In Three and Four split layouts, each panel frames only its own person: side-by-side panels get matched close-ups that stop at a neighbour's head, where a panel used to show part of the next guest's face. Existing clips pick it up when opened, and their video on the next export.
  • Captions has two tabs, Presets and Font, with Colors under Font as in Text.
  • Multi-line text boxes across the app are rounded rectangles instead of pills.

Fixed

  • Removing and restoring pauses or fillers puts a title or other item back at its place and length, even after a Speed change, a Trim, a ripple delete or a moved piece, and repeated footage gets its removed stretches back in every copy.
  • YouTube imports download much faster and no longer fail on very large 4K sources: Auk steps down a quality when a download cannot finish.
  • Dragging a locked crop corner across its diagonal resizes smoothly instead of jumping.
  • Crop on a free image or video keeps focus inside the Reframe window, and opening it no longer marks it as changed.

1.1.0

Added

  • Added videos and images open in the Reframe window from Transform and Crop: see the whole source beside the preview, pick a crop shape, and drag a corner or a side to resize.

Changed

  • Caption, Text, Video and Audio controls in the editor are grouped into tabs (Presets, Font, Effects; Transform, Playback; Fades) instead of one long panel.
  • The Text list shows each item's plain text, so a large or decorated title no longer spills out of its row.

Fixed

  • Removing filler words or selected words also removes the pause around them, and the preview plays the edited clip right away.
  • A split-screen clip zoomed in tightly on one person now exports instead of failing every time.

1.0.0

The first versioned release: the platform as it ran in production on 2026-10-03. Later sections list only what changed since.

Added

Make clips from a video

  • Paste a YouTube link (up to 2 hours) or upload a video file (up to 2 GB). Auk transcribes every word with its timing, finds the moments that work on their own, and cuts each into a vertical 9:16 clip with captions. Clips appear on the project page one by one, you can close the tab, and Auk emails you when they are ready.
  • Each clip has a title, topic tags and a score from 0 to 100. Moments that mostly repeat another are skipped.
  • Optional settings before you start: video type, spoken language (detected automatically from the first minutes by default), clip length, a caption style or a saved template, and a section of the video to process so you pay only for that part.
  • The Clips page lists clips from all your projects, with search, a project filter and favorites. The clip player shows the transcript, with a copy button, and moves between clips with the arrow keys.
  • A failed project picks up where it stopped when you retry it. A blocked YouTube download offers an upload instead.

Framing that follows the speaker

  • Auk finds the faces in each shot, matches them to the audio to tell who is talking, and moves the crop with that person, starting fresh at every cut.
  • Layouts are chosen shot by shot: Single, Fit (the whole frame, for slides, screen recordings and b-roll), Split, Three and Four. Facecam and a floating picture-in-picture box are available in the editor.
  • The Reframe window lets you change a segment's layout, drag each box onto the right person, and put a person, a video or an image in any box.

Captions

  • Twelve caption styles with word highlight: Minimal, Blur Slam, Karaoke Fill, One Word, Stack Punch, Highlighter, Classic Red, Sticker Tilt, Reveal, Candy Pill, Neon and Paper Card. Switching style keeps your words and timing.
  • Pick a style for the whole project, change it for one clip, or save it in a template for every project.
  • Size, position, words per group and text case are adjustable per clip.

The Auk Editor

  • A frame-accurate timeline with a playhead that snaps, a blade that cuts at the playhead, a right-click menu, a quick toolbar, per-clip volume, a playback bar, and undo.
  • Transcript panel: retype a misheard word, search the transcript, split the clip at a word, or delete a word, which cuts its sound and picture and can be added back later.
  • Remove silences and Remove fillers (um, uh, "you know", repeated words) as toggles that never split the clip into pieces.
  • Text overlays with ready-made title and text templates.
  • B-roll on a Single layout and inside Reframe.
  • Motion as objects on the timeline, with ten motions you drag onto a clip. Transitions at cuts and effect pieces on any object.
  • A phone layout for the editor, review, captions, titles and publishing below 720 pixels.

Export and publish

  • Download any clip as a 1080 by 1920 MP4 at 30 frames per second with captions, text, crop and layout burned in, from the clip player or from Publish in the editor. Exporting is free and as often as you like. Earlier renders stay listed under Older versions.
  • Publish to TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels from the same sheet.

  • If a project fails, every credit it charged comes back automatically.
  • Credits are granted by an admin.
